Working With and Supporting our Neighbors

We put our faith into action to support those in need around us.

Community Outreach

Life at Peace extends across Pella and Iowa, providing faith-filled opportunities to make new friends and serve.

Central Iowa Shelter & Services

Approximately 2,000 women and men experiencing homelessness have received emergency shelter and supportive services through Central Iowa Shelter & Services. Various groups within Peace offer volunteer help and monetary donations to help care for those without a permanent home in Iowa.

Crossroads of Pella

Crossroads of Pella is a local non-profit organization that exists to meet people where their need is and works with them to find solutions. The people of Peace support Crossroads through monetary donations, volunteers and needed items, such as gifts for Crossroad’s annual Christmas Angel tree.

Summer Sack Lunch Program

Peace, along with other area churches, prepare and distribute free sack lunches for local kids. The ministry provides a noon meal for school-age children who may otherwise go without during the summer months. Contact the church to learn more.

Pella Community Food Shelf

Started within the walls of Peace, The Pella Community Food Shelf serves families who live in the Pella Community School District and is part of the Central Iowa Food Bank Network. Located at The Well Resource Center in Pella, Peace supports the Food Shelf with monetary donations, groceries, and volunteers.

725 Ministries

Since Fall 2016, 725 Ministries has offered youth activities every Thursday with the ultimate goal of sharing Christ with them. The ministri’s goal is to let youth know about God's unending love by offering a community and mentorship.

The Well Resource Center

The Well Resource Center is a place of community where individuals and families can find help and hope when facing difficult circumstances. Peace supports the mission of The Well through donations for projects such as the Back-to-School Supply Drive, through volunteers, and monetary donations.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

— Hebrews 10:24-25
